last week i posted a couple of photos of my home office on Instagram and many of you were inspired by my sawhorse desk, which is a super-easy way to create both a desk and a dining table, so i thought i’d round up a few more ideas for you. i bought this vintage version on chairish and had initially intended it to be my dining table. but somehow it just better suited my little office space, so presto! it became just that. i think it’s actually just two old sawhorses and a pink plank door that someone once upon a time put together as a table, and that’s really just how easy it is for you to create your own. whether you buy readymade sawhorses or table kits from IKEA, like their LINNMON / FINNVARD table and gerton table, or you check out the salvage yards in your area for old doors and sawhorses these are pretty easy to put together. as featured on design*sponge“, photographer erin scott created her desk by “taking century-old pockmarked planks, rubbing them with saddle soap, and propping them on plain old sawhorses, sprayed white” — genius. here’s a few looks at my desk, and all kinds of sawhorse tables used as desks, as well as dining tables.
